Hey there! We're excited to share some updates from The Grove.

MARCH AWARENESS...

Glaucoma awareness week is coming up during the second week of March. Glaucoma is an insidious eye disease that can cause blindness if not caught early. The disease damages the optic nerve and can lead to vision loss. Glaucoma often has no symptoms, which is why it is important to get regular eye exams. The exam includes a test where a puff of air is blown into the eye to measure intraocular pressure, an important indicator of the disease. This quick and painless test can help detect glaucoma early, giving patients a better chance of preserving their vision. Therefore, we strongly recommend that our patients get eye exams every 1-2 years to ensure that they are taking care of their vision and staying ahead of any potential problems.

Its Physical Time!

Your physical examination is an ideal opportunity to have an in-depth discussion with your healthcare provider about your current health status as well as your long-term health goals. Taking the time to communicate your personal health goals to your provider can help them tailor recommendations and advice that are more specific to your individual needs. In addition, regular check-ups can help identify potential health issues before they become more serious, allowing for earlier intervention and better health outcomes in the long run. So, take advantage of your physical exam to invest in your health and well-being. Kids Sports physicals are only $25 at The Grove.

Get ready for summer

It's only February, but there are a few things to keep in mind as we approach the warmer months. One is that if you're considering laser hair removal, it's recommended that you avoid exposing the treated skin to the sun for at least six weeks after the procedure. This means that if you want to have a hairless chest, back, legs, armpits, or bikini line by the time the weather heats up, you should start planning your appointments now.

Aside from laser hair removal, there are other ways to get your body ready for the upcoming season. For example, you can start an exercise routine or modify your diet to help you feel more confident in your bathing suit. Additionally, now is a great time to start planning any travel you might have coming up. If you're going abroad, consider visiting Healthcare the Grove for recommendations on vaccinations and prophylaxis against diseases that may be prevalent in the areas you'll be visiting. By taking these steps now, you can ensure that you're fully prepared for the warm weather ahead.
